The MATRX Team

THE MATRX WAY

We provide custom pharmacy services and communication, allowing our partners to focus on the wellbeing of their residents.  With local control and leadership, we customize our services to blend with the processes of each facility. Residential care can be maintained in the foreground while Matrx works efficiently in the background.

Meet our leadership team.

VP / Marketing & Customer Care

With over 20 years in the field of pharmacy, Carrie Blair has experience in many areas including retail, compounding and long term care. In her current position with Matrx, in charge of customer relations, Carrie states her experience waiting tables and giving dinner parties has taught her more about helping people get what they want and need at the time that they most want and need it. “I truly enjoy meeting and working with all people”, says Carrie. “I love learning how to make our partners lives easier every day.”

When not at a residential community, Carrie can be found with family and friends traveling, cooking or seeing a show.

HISTORY

Matrx began as the long-term care division of Kusler’s Pharmacy. In 2000, at the request of local Adult Family Home owners and a Mental Health provider, Kusler’s began customized packaging and delivery for the local community. Jason Hunter came on board in 2002 and became manager by 2005.

With Jason’s leadership, the number of facilities expanded until they could no longer be efficiently serviced from a retail pharmacy. He and Janet Kusler partnered in 2013 to open Matrx, an independent, “closed door” pharmacy that provides tailored services to senior care and mental health facilities. “Because we are local and independently owned, we can quickly respond to the changing needs of our homes and their residents.” says Mr. Hunter.

Matrx continues to expand, offering pharmacy services throughout Western Washington, while maintaining the individual relationships that keep their services and communication unique.
